Terms for Applicable Prices, Fees, and Expense Regulations

Hyre aims to be a safe and reliable marketplace offering car-sharing services at a reasonable price. The fees and rules for expenses outlined below are designed to support a secure and dependable platform for renters.

This document ("Price Terms") is part of the Agreement made between Hyre ApS, CVR no.: 42991481 ("we," "us," or "Hyre"), as the service provider of the products and services covered by the Hyre app, and you as the renter ("you" or "Renter"). The Price Terms contain Hyre's terms for the Renter's payment of any due monetary obligations as part of the Renter's use of Hyre's products, services, and offerings through the Hyre app ("the Service"), including the payment of rental fees, charges, and expenses, etc.

Prices and Hyre's Brokerage Fee

The current prices are listed in the Hyre app. These include, among other things, the price for rental duration, the price for extra kilometers, and agreed rates for fuel/electricity payments/discounts. The renter is responsible for the vehicle and expenses arising from its use during the rental period, including parking fines, speeding fines, parking fees, tolls, and fuel. The rental period is considered complete when the vehicle is returned in accordance with the rules specified in the Rental Terms (document no. 3). The prices listed in the Hyre app include Hyre's brokerage fee, insurance, and value-added tax. Renters have no monthly costs for being a member unless otherwise stated or the renter has an active subscription.

Insurance and Deductible

Hyre's vehicles are always insured.

You can register an additional driver for free on a rental basis. The additional driver must be a registered Hyre user with a verified driver's license.

More information about insurance can be found in our insurance terms.

Fuel

The fuel cost is calculated automatically. If you refuel using the vehicle's Circle K card, the actual amount charged to the card will also be added to your final invoice. We measure the fuel level before and after the rental period. If you return the vehicle with a lower fuel level than when you picked it up, you will be charged per missing liter. If you return the vehicle with a higher fuel level, you’ll receive a discount per extra liter. You can view the current fuel prices in the app when booking. If the discount exceeds the total rental price, you’ll receive a voucher to use at a later date.

Additional Driver

The additional driver must be a registered Hyre user with a verified driver's license.

Expenses and Outlays During the Rental Period

The renter is responsible for the vehicle and expenses resulting from its use during the rental period until return, including parking fines, speeding fines, parking fees, tolls, and fuel.

Hyre automatically calculates the costs for tolls and bridge fees in Denmark, as well as settlements for fuel according to Hyre's current rates. The rates for fuel are available in the Hyre app.

The renter is responsible for paying ferries in Denmark and tolls abroad, as well as other expenses associated with the vehicle during the rental period. In the case of non-payment, Hyre may seek reimbursement for expenses afterward, in addition to a fee for extra work. This includes, for example, offsetting the amount reserved on the renter's credit card, according to the Rental Terms.

In the event of non-payment, the following fees apply:

Failure to Pay Parking Fees:

In the event of non-payment, Hyre will issue a reminder notice with an administration fee to the renter.

100 DKK (+ cost of fine)

Failure to Pay Ferries in Denmark and Toll Fees Abroad:

The renter is responsible for ferry and foreign toll payments. Failure to pay results in an additional handling fee.

200 DKK (+ cost of ferry/toll)

Failure to Pay Fines and Other Fees:

Fines and fees must be paid immediately. Failure to do so will result in an additional fee alongside the fine/fee amount.

Reserved Amount Upon Car Rental

Hyre reserves an amount of 2,000 DKK ("the Reservation") on the renter's specified credit card at the same time as each Order, but no later than when the rental begins, as security for the renter's payment of any due monetary obligation under the Agreement, for example, as a result of the renter's use of a vehicle, including, for example, car rental, payment for extra kilometers, parking and toll fees, and fuel. The reservation is released after the vehicle has been returned in accordance with the provisions in the Rental Terms (Return), unless Hyre has previously deducted or offset from the Reservation. It may take up to 10 banking days after Return for the Reservation to be released and the funds to be available to the renter again.
